Well, it has a drain plug, so remove that and let er drain. How many miles are on the car? If it's really low, I'd wait for the filter. That's a messy, PITA job. I'm of the opinion, like many others here with Toyotas, that frequent drain and fills of the auto transmission is enough. Perhaps a filter change at say, 100K would be in order. As far as fluid, I think the 03s take the new Toyota fluid that can only be had at a dealer. Not cheap I might add! If you do it this way it'll take a bit less then 3.75 quarts to refill. Add fluid through the dipstick tube. After it's refilled, start the engine, move the shifter into each selection and pause between selections, then put it in park and let the engine idle while you check the fluid level; should be right at the cold notch. You should do a final fluid check when the vehicle is up to temp; fluid level at that point should be at the hot notch.
