What's the best way to access the rear bank of spark plugs on a 2002 Buick Regal LS with the 3.8L non-supercharged? It has 85k miles on it but 11 years old with original plugs & wires.

Thanks.

You could rotate the engine slightly by removing the dog bone bolts and pulling it forward with a ratchet strap if you really need an extra couple of inches.
I don't bother on these, there is enough room to get in there and do it even with big arms.

That is how I used to do it in my 01 Lumina with the 3.1. Pretty easy process.

When I looked at it the other day, I didn't think there was enough room to get to the back. I must've been wrong.

Are the metal covers over the boots supposed to be transferred from the original plugs to the replacements or is there really not a need for it?
