For a four year old car in Cleveland I would expect a shorter OCI and/or use of a top tier dino (or an on sale CoNoCo semi-synthetic?) might end your concerns.
If you are willing to spring for OA you should also look at what concrete benefits spending a little more mulah on oil & filters may provide?
