I don't think that oil can be sold as a 0w20.
It's either a 0w12 or a 0w16, possibly both.
OK fair enough, I didn't look closely at the specs, and just took it at face value (the label).
It makes 20 grade according to the 1999 J300, but the revised 2009 J300 I have puts it as a 16 grade. Just as you say.
To be honest, I would use the Penrite 10-Tenths Racing 5W-30
KV100 = 10.0 cSt and HTHS = 3.34 cP
That's clearly in 30 grade territory.
That HTHS is quite nice, most ILSAC grades are 3.0 +/- 0.1, while HDEO or Euro grade A3/B4 or C3 oils in 30 grade are typically 3.5 to 3.6 cP. So this value of 3.34 nicely sits in the middle.
