Hello all, I bought a used John Deere 757 zero turn earlier this year and I want to change the hydro oil. The mower currently has 390 hours on it. I see in the manual that John Deere specs a 15w40 hydro oil for the transmission. I have a preference for Amsoil products, but only see a 5w30 hydro...

Did an oil change last night and cut open the filter after work today. I noticed these small pieces of carbon scattered around inside the filter housing and filter. Oil that was drained was Amsoil SS 5w20 and oil that went in was the same. Is this evidence of cleaning prior deposits?
