Periodically cranking small engines during winter?

I have a Cub Cadet with a Kawasaki twin cylinder engine. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to peridically crank the engine until the oil pressure builds up during winter storage? I have installed an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. I was thinking about pulling the spark plug wires and...

High lead results for 99 Honda Accord V6

I didn't notice if the oil I used during that OCI was SL or SM. I am not adding the Berryman B12 during this OCI. I will continue to use the LC and FP. I will get another analysis ran when the oil has a little over 5,000 miles on it. That way the mileage on the two OCI's will be real close.

High lead results for 99 Honda Accord V6

I just ran the first UOA on our 99 V6 Accord and it shows high lead results. I got the bright idea to clean the injectors and fuel system so I ran two full tanks of fuel adding Chemtool B12 fuel additive at about 2 to 3,000 into this OCI. I then read on BITOG on how LC20 and FP60 really did...

OK to use 2 cycle oil in a four stroke?

Would it be beneficial to a four stroke engine to run synthetic 2 cycle oil at a 100:1 mix? Wouldn't this help lubricate the cylinder walls and upper end? Is there a downside to using the 2 cycle oil? I have both Poulan and Mobil 2T synthetic oil. It seems my 2 cycle engines run better on the...

    5w-20 oil in a 99 Honda Accord V6?

We have a 99 V6 Accord with 91K on it. I have been using 5w-30 Mobil 1 synthetic and Pure One oil filters for the last 40-50k with 5k OCI. Honda originally specified 5w-30 wt.oil, now they have changed to specifying 5w-20 for this engine. Should I stick with the 5w-30 or start using the 5w-20...

    Trans fluid line question

Allow your engine and transmission to completly cool down. Have someone set in your car with their foot on the brake and have the parking brake set! They can start the car and put it in drive. While they are doing this, feel each of the hard lines from the transmission and see which one gets hot...
