Help with poor running Echo SRM-210

With the blower it would bog down (fuel starvation) when you pressed down on the throttle. In addition it was a bear to start due to a crack in the gasket and a leak along one of the three fuel lines. Your problem sounds a little different though now that I think about it. Just for kicks, the...

Help with poor running Echo SRM-210

I don't know if I missed it in the thread, but have you checked your fuel lines on the unit. It is possible that you may have a pinhole leak in one of them that is causing your unit it suck air when the engine is demanding more fuel at higher revs. I only say this because our new Echo blower has...

How many people using Trop Artic?

I purchased a case of 10W30 synblend, but have yet to use it.

    Source for Motocraft oil?

My local autozone carries it, but I know autozone can be hit or miss at different locations. If you have one in your area you may want to give them a call.

How many of you use Meguiar's NXT?

NXT is great for daily drivers and provides decent longevity. I find that using the booster in conjunction with NXT, that it does last somewhat longer as well as helping to retain the look and slickness of freshly applied NXT. It also does a good job of hiding light marring or swirls with a...

Delo for high mileage ford 460?

Running 10w30 would be optimal as that is what I run in my Toyota. I have plenty of Mobile Clean, so I might as well use what I have. Thanks for the tip on the filter, the pep boys back home carries the purolator line of filters so finding it shouldn't be a problem either. You guys have been...

Delo for high mileage ford 460?

Wow, thanks for all of the information, it gives me a base to start from, I think for now I'll stick to the factory recommended 5W30 in the interest in not wanting to do any harm. Since oil consumption hasn't been an issue (or so my dad has informed me) I can't quite justify wanting to move to...

Delo for high mileage ford 460?

Well, the truck is actually in Hanford, which is about 40 mins south of Fresno. I go to school in SLO which is nothing like Fresno's climate (much, much cooler). To the best of my knowledge the owner's manual recommends 5W-30, but I don't have it in front of me to reference. I'm sure the truck...

Delo for high mileage ford 460?

Thanks Dave, I appreciate you providing your reasoning behind sticking with 5W30, this has definitely been a dependable engine despite its desire to consume an amazing amount of fuel. In that case I think I may keep it on Mobil Clean 5W30 and a motorcraft filter.

Delo for high mileage ford 460?

Thanks for the input, I know the owner's manual stipulates a 5W-30, but was noticing the use of Delo in a number of truck applications. I realized that I mislabeled the engine in my previous post, I believe it is actually 7.5L on the 460. Also, would a motorcraft filter along with the Delo be...

Delo for high mileage ford 460?

My dad has a 1992 Ford F-250 w/7.3L 460 pushing near 200,000 mi. I'm just wondering whether or not Delo 15W40 would be good for this application. We live in a warm/hot climate and the vehicle is driven around 30 miles a day with an occassional 90 mile drive. To the best of my knowledge this...

    Mobil Synthetic Blend

I have noticed the same thing with my 22R and Mobile Clean, however, I replaced my termostat eariler this year so I have somewhat ruled that out as the problem. It's not running incredibly cold, it's just below level on the gauge.

    Auto RX in 22R

I apologize, I am still quite new at these oil acronyms (I'll read up some more tonight). To clarify I switched to the 10W30 Mobil Clean 7500.

    Auto RX in 22R

haha, dang, how did i miss that? Thanks for the input. I was unsure if I really needed it, but I guess it couldn't hurt. My second question is will the FP/LC combo achieve the same results just over a longer period of time?

    Auto RX in 22R

Since this is my first post I'll try my best to update you on my situation. My 1985 Toyota w/ the 22R (107,500 miles) has been running Castrol GTX 10W30 for the past two years. This past weekend I switched over to M1 10W30 7500 Drive Clean with a purolator filter. I am now contemplating doing an...
