Most recent oil on my Explorer. Castrol Edge EP 5W-30 (gold bottle) and MC FL500S filter came out. Castrol EP 5W-30 and MC FL500S filter went in. This run did have a lot of idling time. I'm going to step back my OCI from 7500 miles down to 5k and go with Castrol Edge 5W-30 (black bottle).

Changed the oil back on 06-01-2019. These pictures were taken just after the oil change but I forgot to put them up until I was just reminded with the Blackstone report. No tears from what I can see. Held up well, but it only saw 5700 miles of driving.

This is the second oil change for this Explorer. The first was performed by the dealer at 4300 miles. Dealer bulk with a Motorcraft FL-500S came out. Castrol Edge EP 5W-30 with a Motorcraft FL-500S went in. Next oil change will be at 15k. Currently at 13k.

I finally got the results for my transmission fluid analysis after 3 weeks of waiting. Still waiting for my oil analysis to come back. I added 1.5 quarts in this OCI because the drain plug was leaking. That's probably why the numbers are more favorable this OCI.

This came out of my Fusion yesterday. Filter was installed on 1/7/19 and was paired with Amsoil Signature 5W30. Filter has about 6,830 miles on it. Some of the pleats are wavy but I did not see any tears.
