Just to bump an old thread: we recently put Entyre's on a 2006 Outback 3.0R for the ROY. Winter tires are Hakka R2's. I'v had a chance to drive them in light snow: they were pretty good for an A/S although that's like saying "You aren't as ugly as everyone told me you were." Very good...

I bought two snows for my car and then had to drive to another shop about 5 miles away, in an ice storm, to have two more put on as they'd split the inventory. It was dicey as [censored].

Just got some General Altimax Arctic on a new car and they handle slush strips quite well. I do not change lanes too gradually as that puts both tires in the same strip at the same time. If the road is bad, there may be a strip in the center of the lane to contend with.
