When on a trip to Autozone today. Got two 5 quart jugs of Quaker State 5W-30 synthetic and 2 Motorcraft oil filters. They were running a monthly oil change special. Kinda got screwed on the 2 additional quarts I needed to buy for the car, as they were not on sale..... Still a good deal overall.

    Death of Conventional

I always used convetional oils throughout the 90s and most of the 2000s. Never had a lubrication related problem. Then the auto part stores had synthetic oil on sale for the same price as conventional. I'll do that. Then I viewed the results , first hand, of the synthetics ability to keep an...

BMW and Prius owners are the least courteous?

I can confirm that BMW drives are not courteous drives. They are all over the place where I live. Outside of the city, you see a lot of jacked-up pickups being the same way as well.

    2017 Mazda CX-5 Touring

I don't have a 2017, ours is a 2016 CX-5 with the 2.5 liter. It's a decent sized, fun driving CUV. Still drives very "Mazda" like, which is a good thing. It's big enough for my three person family, with room to bring our dog if we want to. No regrets in buying it. Bought it used, with 6,000...

    Oil for 2019 EcoBoost Mustang

A month ago, I finally bought a Ford Mustang. Found a lightly used 2019 with about 10,000 miles on it. It has the 2.3 liter 4-cylinder with turbo. I've wanted a Mustang since I was a kid back in the 1980's and foxbody SVO's were something I drooled over. On to the point..... Upon getting home...

Switching back to dino oil? Can it handle it?

Generally I buy oil at Advance Auto; its close to my house. The Motorcraft was $29.99 for the 5 quart jug at my last oil change. Don't think semi should be priced so high. Only bought it because that's all I have used in the vehicle.

Switching back to dino oil? Can it handle it?

My wife and I currently own a 2009 Mazda 3 Sedan. It has the 2.0 4 cylinder motor and has 50,850 miles on it. No current motor issues to report. It runs well and has been mostly trouble free since we bought it 3 years ago. We live in southwest Florida and it is driven approximately 9,500 miles...
