    Castrol Edge Q&A Answers posted

I stocked up on GC a few years back at Autozone when it was SL rated. Now that GC has been rebadged "Edge" it still has a SL rating from what I saw at Autozone recently. So is Edge GC still a Holy Grail oil here on bitog.com like it used to be be 3-4 years ago.....?

    Engine Hoist Cherry Picker recommendations.....?

Cylinder head pull with a tweaked back is a two person job. For a Sasquatch even with a bad back maybe just one. Chain hoist would require overhead anchor. I was pondering the Harbor Freight ones....? Might sport for an engine stand as well.

    Engine Hoist Cherry Picker recommendations.....?

May be doing an engine swap pull for my 22r Toyota. Civic a rear main seal replacement. Also I want the option of doing one man cylinder head pull. I’d rather spend a bit more and have some better features. Any input appreciated.

Your input on 30 9.5 15's on 8" wide rims....?

Good point. Airing down to 10 psi off road in a bad stick situation is not the best place to pop a bead.

    Yes I know a 7" rim is better and save the 8" for 31 10.5 x 15LT's instead. Your experience with 30's on 8"....?

Local Wally world didn't stock Pennzoil Ultra so I went with M1 HM 5w30. I was suprised to see it was still SL rated. I'm also assuming better seal additives M1 HM than either Pennzoil Ultra or Platinum.

Thanks for all the input on this thus far. Any recommendations on a transmission temp gauge unit? Been having an issue with the transmission not going into park and actually locking in park. Last week it rolled back on me in a parking lot. Not to position of the shifter but the actual clunk...

Yes I agree slow and steady wins the race. I will not consider using the Auto-rx product until I drop the pan and check the screen. Even though that.product will loosen junk slowly. Seafoam trans tune that was mentioned eariler has a large portion of isopropyl alcohol in it. IPA on the MSDS...

Wally World usually carries M1 HM 5w30 quart jug. I think it was $27-$29 range. What does the Pennzoil Ultra typically go for per quart...? Wally World carry it?

Ironically I already picked up a 5 quart jug of Castrol High Mileage 5w30 for this truck to use for the first change. Then I had my doubts about it....? Just might be splitting hairs here.
