    Street/track oil suggestions

Its time to change the oil in my summer ride again. It's equipped with a Chevrolet 6.0l LS engine. Aftermarket cam, heads, valvetrain, stock bearings and bottom end. This summer the car will see several thousand miles of highway cruising, several hours of sustained high RPM on a road course, and...

PF48 ACDelco cut open. (non-cut Baldwin pics)

(Sorry if anything is out of context, Thread made for multiple forums) I like to make it a habit to cut open my used oil filters. Although I haven't done it the last couple times. Pick my next oil change

As a lube tech at the local GM dealer, I have accumulated a lot of extra oil and filters. My personal car is going to be in need of an oil change soon (2004 Monte Carlo 3.4). Whatever I put in it will be ran for less than 1000 miles as I'm going to trade it in soon. I would like to create...

    Which european oil?

I'm looking to try some different oil in my car. It is a Chevrolet LA1 3.4l pushrod engine. Has 103k, and has been run on PP, PU, and M1 since 60k. I am looking at Total and Motul 8100. Which of these two would be better? Any other suggestions? I am looking to stay under $55 shipped for 5L.

    Is it worth running

Autozone is currently giving all of its employees a just of nexgen or maxlife nexgen. I picked up a bottle of the regular stuff. I have been running M1/PP/PU in my care since I've owned it (40k miles). The smell of this nexgen is rank. Makes me gag just smelling it, so it makes me weary of...

    pick my next oil change

So I am undecided on the oil and filter I want to run next. I have a 2004 Monte Carlo with the pushrod 3.4l. I was thinking of either running M1/Mobil filter, or PP/extended guard. I would like to keep it under $30.

Here is the PF47 out of my Monte Carlo. Run with 5w-30 PP for 2700 miles. I put a pureone pf52 sized filter back on for the 5000 mile OCI.
