I work for autozone and my store now stocks some lucas full-syn. What is everyone's opinion on this oil? It is $30 for 5 qts. I get no discount on oil, so should I stay with pp/m1 or try this lucas out?

It's nothing to wright home about if your already using PP or M1 hard to top them quality oil's leave the lucas on the shelf.

The "Prince of Darkness" is into oil, now? Oh, my!

Based upon previous personal experience (running down the road at 11:54 pm in a borrowed Austin-Healy 3000 Mk III trying to get the girlfriend home before a midnight curfew, only to have the engine stop, the lights go out, middle of the country road between West & East Puckerbrush, no flashlight and the only "car phones" you ever saw were in the backseat of a Revell or Monogram model kit that you built in the "Custom" mode) I'd be worried about catastrophic instant engine failure...

Oh: a DIFFERENT "Lucas", eh?

Cheers!

p.s. I'd say the same for Bosch, BTW, if they came out with an oil: the 2 sets of points needed for a Fiat 131 used to blow so often on my buddy's car that he bought them by the case and could replace them , usually on the side of the road in the rain, in about 3 minutes!

CheersII
