Hey i bought a troy bilt push mower with 6.75 B&S motor this spring... looking for a oil recommendation... shows a 30wt oil or a 5W30 synthetic has probably 12-15 hours on it for 1st oil change.... was thinking Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 and also JD LA105 going with PYB from Valvoline/NAPA 10W30

big thanks on the input on this.... its a late model 350 chevrolet has about 145K miles on it changed with GTX 3k-3500 miles always a Wix or AC filter.... like id mentioned id heard years ago that QS and Pennzoil was 2 to avoid but hear those names a lot these days and a lot since ive been on here

i knew years ago quaker state was the one to avoid and pennzoil didnt know anymore like i said it may get drove 700 to 800 miles a month at the most i still change 3 mo or 3k miles

figured it was a decent deal truck sits a lot with me having company truck everyone think it would be ok to switch?

ps it would be in a late model small block chevy..

hey all still new to this but was at local autozone tonight seen this quaker state advanced durability oil change with ac delco or stp filter for 14.99 i change my oil every 3000 to 3500 miles usually use castrol gtx but seemed like a deal any thoughts?

Hey all... Got a question..wanting peoples thoughts on B&S oil filters.... alright to use longer filters on these engines..... like the wix 51348 vs the 51056 they call for... about 1/2 price reason i was asking..... just wondering others thoughts on this...and 10-30 in about any brand alright??

also and what filters... usually im a Wix person... but probably run a motorcraft on this thing...
