I recently picked up a new to me, used bike in late Sept. The dealer changed all fluids on the bike, including oil and filter. I have put about 1000 miles on it since then, and it's now time to store it for winter. Would you bother changing this oil? I'm fairly certain they use Motul 10-40...

OC is done. I used Rotella 10-30. The oil that was in there had a funny greenish color to it. I'm assuming it might have been some kind of break-in oil?

It does have a filter. Just picked a couple up from my local dealer where I bought the mower. I'll probably cross reference a wix or napa filter in the future though. I'll probably run a dino 10w-30 in it for now. The 5, 20, 50 hour sounds like a good plan...Thanks

I just bought six 5 QT jugs of PP at Walmart for the $15 rebate deal. I will store them in the garage....turn them once a month....maybe use a heating blanket over the winter months. Just kidding...I plan on using them within a few years.....for $1/QT....just had to stock up.

It has a 3.4l engine. As of yet...there is no coolant leaking into the motor. There is however, a small outward leak from the lower intake gasket. I need to order the gasket kit and get it changed soon. My local Wally World does not have the rebate offer on Pennzoil

yeah...I just read about that deal going on @ Wally world.....good time to stock up I guess. Both our vehicles require 5w-30...so keeping just one oil on hand would be easier too.
