GM Start / Stop 2016 Impala any experience?

I drove a rental Malibu with start stop. I didn't like it but I bet it wouldn't be too hard to get used to. You gotta be able to turn it off though.

here are the first two uoas for my new truck. i went from a 1990 sierra to a 2016. i used the dexos 1 m1 5w30 and I think there was some 5w30 extended performance mixed in. still on the fence if im going to use 0w20. if it continues to thin out i will probably stick with 5w30. i use this truck...

This oil change was done at jiffy lube. Insols impress me considering the tiny filter. Refilled w Mobil 1 extended performance 5w30 and a wix oil filter.

    06 Subaru 2.5i RL5w30 5,000mi Would you go 10,000?

Looks like insolubles will be your limiting factor. Try changing the filter@ 5k and go to 7.5k. Then to 10 k hopefully.

    Amsoil OE 5w30 - 7,022 - 1998 Toyota Camry V6

i did food delivery about 10 years ago in boston with an '87 caprice w/ 305. I would leave the engine running all night unless is was too shady of an area and lock the doors and keep the door key with me. I wish I knew about UOAs then, could have been interesting.

Yup. I put Rotella 5w40 in my GF's elantra for the summer and the engine made a racket on startup. Had to switch it out.

    Walmart Oil for VW 1.8T?

I have run it in the winter with no problem too, but when you pour it (in the winter) compared to other 5w's it is VERY thick. Thats how it sits in your oil pan before you start.

I have had excellent results with K&N air filters. Don't wash them too much/often, but add oil every once in a while.
