Amsoil 20W50 5,663 miles in BMW Motorcycle R1100S

If the oil is still in the the bike I would keep going. When I rode, the Amsoil was the best oil as my bike shared the sump and it improved shifting. How long has the oil been in the pan?

2012 Honda Accord V6 factory fill 8,396 miles

8000 is a simple number too and the M1 would have no problem doing.

    2015 Vee-Dub GTI

Popped in to say I test drove the 2013 GTI and really liked it. I thought it was over priced, along with a few other issues, but a lot of fun to drive.

Honda Fit 2013 M/T - First oil change and beyond..

Warranty requires at least once a year changes. At a bit over $4 a quart otd with a WMT discount I think I can swing it. With a lot of short trips in there the oil will be at least some what used up. My wife has a 2012 Fit that will go about 7.5k per year on M1 AFE after the free oil change...

Honda Fit 2013 M/T - First oil change and beyond..

So I got my first new car, been driving for 30+ years and was driving a 1985 Civic S for 18 years. I used to drive 12k miles a year easy but with a different job I am looking at only hitting 4k per year now. Short drives to and from work at 6 miles, 15 minutes, one way averaging 40MPH on back...

    Oil Filter Magnets

I use HDD magnets I remove for free. They work on the oil filter and have always stayed in place. I have also opened up the filters to see the dark solids they have captured. They are not enough to alter flow and hold a bit out of the oil so why not. I have not really liked the design of those...

Oil for 2001 Saturn SL with oil consumtion issues

The SL's like to crack their heads too. We had all of the classic Saturn issues with drinking oil until the cat died, snapped shifter cable on the 5-speed, radiator replaced and finally the head at 170K. Last US car I fool with. My 85 Civic has been unbelievable compaired to that thing. It is...

Which Honda OEM Filter is Best

From what I am seeing now, the OEM is not the stellar product it once was!! Great, this is getting more complicated. Is a WIX/NAPA Gold of high quality in this application? Some think the element is quite small for the can. I got away from Frams many years ago because of their leaking...

Which Honda OEM Filter is Best

Opened some Honda filters and have been impressed with the TOYO ROKI's. Not seen the insides of the MAHLE first hand but found a little on the web saying positive things, not sure if it was better than the TOYO. Thus the post. A few aftermarkets were looked at but I know these two are at the...

Which Honda OEM Filter is Best

I can choose between a MAHLE TENNEX 15400-RTA-003 or the FILTECH TOYO ROKI 15400-PLM-A01. The Mahle unit is what I understand the Honda Fit comes with from Japan. Any comments about these 2?
