I would change the oil. I would change at least once a year even with such low miles. Problem would be condensation issues that would contaminate the oil. Also, any acids that are not neutralized would be doing a job by 18 months. My .02 worth.

Amsoil specs the EAO34 for the 3.7L engine. A number of people have used the EAO26 which is 50% larger than the EAO34 and might just work for you. The EAO26 will fit the mount fine, just make sure you have the room to accept the additional length.
