Hi, I have a 2014 Passat 1.8t a/t. Need to add some coolant. Is the old G12 interchangeable with the G13 it says to use on the reservoir? Thanks Errr...Nevermind, I mis-read the label, it uses G12.

I found a great deal on Kendal Euro 5w40 on Amazon, 12 qt. Case for under $50! Anyone have experience or spec's on this oil? I'd like to use it in my 2104 Passat if the oil is any good. Thanks

I'm not trying to defend Mobil 1, but I've used it in my 1.8t almost since day 1 with excellent results (0w40). No top off needed between 5k oci's. Has 130k on it now.

Hands down, Mobil 1 0w40 Euro Formula. It's been in mine since day 1, performing flawlessly. If there is a better performing oil out there for this application, I'd like to know.

I have a fairly high mileage 2002 VW Passat 1.8t, & was thinking of trying the Mobil 1 10w40 H.M. oil. It has 126,000 miles on it now & has had Mobil 0w40 all of it's life. Anyone had any luck with this oil for this application? I saw it in 5 quart jugs at WalMart cheap. ($23.00). Thanks
