The mower is a self-propelled LawnBoy with a Kohler engine. Today I changed the oil by simply removing the dipstick and tilting it on it's side to drain the oil. Worked great. Is this SOP for push mowers, or is there a better method?

The vehicle is a 2004 Ranger 4x4 with a chain-drive transfer case, that specifies ATF as a lubricant. Can I safely substitute 75W-90 synthetic gear oil for the ATF in this application? Or is there a better choice? Or should I simply stay with the ATF? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I replaced an EGR exhaust manifold fitting recently, and used copper antiseize. The copper had a max temperture rating of 1200*F, and the nickle had no temp rating on the tube at all. That's why I used the copper. Did I do wrong?

How about using one of these for added ATF cooling with a spin-on filter? If it was mounted in the airstream, seems like it would add cooling with filtration all in one.

I have a B&M trans filter kit awaiting to be installed, and the (B&M) filter has an anti-drainback valve. I'm wondering how much restriction this valve causes, and if the added restriction could cause trans damage? Thanks, TLR

Hi guys & gals. My 04 Ford Ranger's owner's manual states that Motorcraft coolant is to be used, which I assume is the G-05 type. The wife's 2000 Explorer uses Green coolant, per the owner's manual. Can I use the G-05 in both vehicles? Thanks.

Hi guys. I just bought a remote filter housing that dosen't have the inlet and outlet marked, and need to verify the flow direction through an oil filter. Is the oil pumped into the outer holes of the filter, through the media and then out the center hole? Many thanks, TLR
