I've always ran Mobil 1 5w-30 in my Camry, but I'll be moving to AK this winter. Will 0w-30 be better in the occassional -60* F temp we'll get in Fairbanks. The owners manual doesn't spcifically recommend it, it only shows 5w-30. Thanks.

Can you usu diluted Purple Stuff to clean it (K&N Filter)or do you have to use the K&N cleaner? It says any non-caustic soap will do. Dish soap wasn't strong enough because it didn't remove the dye from the oil that was already on the filter. Thanks for the help.

I'm a religous M-1 user, but I've heard the GC 5W30 is actually closer to a 40W, and the M1 is barely 30W. I can't find the GC in Wichita Falls, is the Made in the US stuff the same? If it isn't then what's the big difference. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I've been debating putting an oil cooler on my car (98 Camaro Z-28). I use Mobil-1 5W30 religously. I was just wondering if the cooler would do me any good. My oil stays around 210 - 220 unless I'm beating on it. Then it goes up to abvout 280.

I just switched to Mobil 1 EP in my wife's SUV. Is there an oil filter that will last that long, or will I need to change it every 5K as usual? Thanks for any info.
