My truck uses a Delco PF48 which has a spring of some sort inside of it if you look into the hole where it screws on.I ent this morning and bought 2 Wix filters for it and see that they dont have this spring.Is this a problem?

Changed the engine oil and filter today and boy am I glad I didnt wait any longer.With 650 miles on the oil it looked like it had glitter in it in the sunlight.

Anyone know any secrets to getting the pan off without taking the exhaust loose from the engine.The crossover pipe is blocking the pan.Also what interval is everyone running with the DexVI in the 4L60E.

I used Royal purple 10w30 in a 2.2 Chevy for 3 years hitting redline daily and it still runs like a champ.

Is merconV any thinner than Dex3.Reason I ask is that it seems I have more pronounced firmer shifts once mines good and warmed up which leads me to beleive that a thinner fluid will be better.
