Be prepared for failing brake switches. We are on our third brake switch with our '18. People are reporting the same issue with the '21s as well.

What made you buy a new lawn mower?

I don't have a big yard. I tried to go "green" for a number of years with a Scotts manual reel mower. It sucked. I went on vacation and came back to a jungle that the mower couldn't cut. That was it. I bought a used Craftsman for $25.

Review: Griot's Brilliant Finish Synthetic Clay

I've had this for a while, but finally used it. We had a recent road trip and I had a lot of bugs. It had a previous wash, but there were still remnants of bugs. I have some Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover, but it's messy, and I didn't like working with it. This product has the synthetic clay...

    TW Max Power Car Wash

I've used it, I didn't like it as much as I like Meguiar's Gold Class.

    Just bought some TW S&S

I would have no problem adding an additional layer after the first. Beyond that, I would watch the beading and feel the slickness during subsequent washes. That would be my indicator for adding additional layers.

    Just bought some TW S&S

I love it. I would do the front end thoroughly. I would even consider putting on a slick detail spray over it. It will help with the bugs you are going to get on it.

2017 Camry SE - Audio question

It does seem like the center channel works. It looks easy to pull the cover, so I will take a look.

2017 Camry SE - Audio question

Apologies if this is in the wrong spot. I purchased a 2017 Camry SE. I was browsing Crutchfield, just checking out my options and came across something weird. The car does not have the JBL option that I can see, but it does has the center channel in the dash. I haven't checked the L/R speakers...

    Swirl marks and light scratches

For the most part, I've stopped polishing. If you have light swirl marks, I would rather fill the swirls with a wax.

I rarely have change anymore. But when I did, I could jingle the change in my pocket and hear if I had a silver quarter in there.

Crew Cab pick-up as a family vehicle?

I think you are fine with a crew cab as far as space is concerned. One of my wife's must haves is rear entertainment/DVD/BluRay. On long road trips, she will sit with my son and dog in the middle row and watch movies. She will not have a vehicle without one. This limits our options, but it has...

    How's your CVT holding up?

Update from my Dec. 10 comment. My mechanic and I followed this video for my Versa: It worked beautifully! The whine is gone, and the CVT is nice and smooth. Cleared the codes. I'm 90% sure this fixed my issues. I will drive for a few days, and if there are any problems, I will update. Drain...

    How's your CVT holding up?

I jinxed it. Started noticing a whine, and finally determined it was the CVT. As the weather got colder, the CVT started to not function properly until warm. Drain and fill yesterday with Valvoliine. It drained almost 5 quarts. As of this morning, the whine is still there. But I may have found a...
