Apologies if this is in the wrong spot. I purchased a 2017 Camry SE. I was browsing Crutchfield, just checking out my options and came across something weird.

The car does not have the JBL option that I can see, but it does has the center channel in the dash. I haven't checked the L/R speakers in the dash yet, but it has 6x9s in the back. With this set up, it's not supposed to have the center channel from what I can tell. The only explanation I can think of is someone replaced the dash ( which opens up a can of worms for me). Does anybody know of a set up like this?

The base model sound system does not come with a center channel speaker from the factory. Are you sure that there is actually a speaker driver under the grill (my sienna has the grill but no speaker underneath it)? If so, when you play the stereo, does sound come out of that speaker?

I think it's more likely the center channel came from the factory. If it still has the factory head unit and speakers, doubtful someone went to the trouble to pull the dash just to add a center channel speaker.

It does seem like the center channel works. It looks easy to pull the cover, so I will take a look.
