I can tell you Subaru paint is extremely thin (had a detailer take readings) and the clear coat etches with ANYTHING that lands on it. I’ve got to wash my **** car every couple of weeks and wax it every quarter if I want to preserve the paint. PITA.

I don’t know why, either, but in my experience the old version lasted longer. Perhaps the added UV protection mitigates longevity? I don’t know, just a guess.

I have the lifetime alignment from Tires Plus. I go in for an alignment once a year after I get my tires balanced and rotated. Never an issue or charge. Sure, they try to sell you maintenance work, but that’s expected. Do I need to get an alignment every year? Maybe not, but it makes me all warm...

5K or 6 months on a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek. 0W-20 in whatever’s on sale.

The second and third spark plugs had some oil on the tips and threads. Car has 50k miles. It has a slight jerkiness when cruising around 40mph. I think the jerkiness is gone, but the oil on plugs left me a little worried. Should I lose sleep over this?

I’d go with the idle relearn. I recently replaced my battery and immediately noticed a rough idle while in Park. After 4 days, it’s now idling smooth.
