Formula Shell any good? Dirt Cheap at Menards

To be honest I haven't seen many UOA's of the Formula Shell oil, so I really can't comment. But if I were in your shoes, I'd pick the Chevron Supreme. Not only is it cheap ($0.69/qt), the UOA's of this oil are also very good.

Where to find a good chamois?

To continue on the MF theme, I've had good success with Pakshak I use the waffle weave for drying, while I use the normal terry towels for buffing.

    Lucas product

That's totally incorrect. It's not that people don't like additives, they're just more leery of them. In fact people on this board are more into additives than any site. Because of this site, I've used Auto-RX and Neutra 131, with favorable results. In the future I will probably purchase som...

BEST product to use on auto weatherstripping

I'll be the 5th to recommend 303. I use it on all my interior and exterior plastic. I also use it as a tire dressing. 303 isn't as expensive when you buy it by the gallon.

    Honda ATF-Z1

On my tranny, the plug has a magnetic tip. My local dealer usually charges about $4/qt, but every 6 months or so, they have it on sale for $2.50/qt. I just buy a couple of cases and it lasts me for a year.

    Honda ATF-Z1

On 6th Generation Accords/2nd gen TL's, the thing you have to look out for is their failing trannies. In fact, Honda/Acura has extended the warranty on the AT for these vehicles after numerous problems. With that said, I am a firm believer in frequent changes of the ATF. On my Acura, I change...

    Does this make sense??

That's what I was thinking. But I've been told before that on older cars where the ATF has never been changed, that changing it could actually do harm to the transmission.

    Does this make sense??

Some guy posted this in another forum about automatic transmissions: "fyi....its not always a good idea to change auto tranny fluid very often..the cluth packs inside the tranny get worn and the material from the clutch packs gets in the fluid.....a lot of the time that crap in the fluid helps...

Auto-rx: How come no tranny rinse phase?

I'm in the exact same situation as your friend. I also have an AT Acura and wanted to put ARX in. However, a problem is that you can't drop the pan and change the filters on Acura/Honda trannies. When I called several Acura Dealerships, they recommended against using the T-Tech process, and...

A rule of thumb with Honda/Acura TB's is to replace them every 90K miles. Also, change the waterpump too.

What is your OCI and brand of oil being used?

'94 Acura Integra- 148K miles every 3k miles. Using 10W30 Chevron Supreme and Supertech filters. I chose Chevron because 1)its only $0.69/qt 2) its a very good dino for the price. I chose Supertech Filters after reading favorable reviews, compared to the old Frams I use. I've always used 3K...
