add 2 qts rotella 15-40 to your maxlife. (minus 2 qts of course)

substitute a couple qts of rotella 15-40 with 5 qts. of your regular oil.. i have done that on these before. stops the oil usage in its tracks.

i have been a oil nut for years. i just recently started using 5w30 coastal gf5 in my corvette because thats the oil that quieted down my valvetrain the most. i buy it in bulk for when i offer cheap oil changes at my shop.(1.30/qt.) im going to do a voa soon.

the cyl heads on 460's in motorhomes run extremely hot. i have seen the manifolds glow on more than 1 occasion. the timing chains are retarded from the factory. most people install a pre-1972 timing set. maybe his vt and oil is just getting too hot. idunno
