Although all of this helps mostly in testing not in the real world except a small %. Going to a colder...

    9,000-mile results are in!

Is it possible that the amsoil is actually cleaning out the engine from sludge, deposits, etc., left over or caused by the long drain interval of the M1 and this is causing the rapid drop in TBN? Was some type of cleaning cycle done before the amsoil test? Wasn't the M1 test done during colder...

    Post Auto-Rx, using M1, 3MPG increase!

I have a question. From the auto-rx site it states that the product is nothing more than synthetic esters, so why would not just running a good syn oil which are known to clean out an engine be just as effective and a lot cheaper? The engine is still getting cleaned is it not? Thanks

Ver 2 Mercruiser / ACPF1218 Oil Filter Study w/ Pore and Flow Data

You mentioned change in oil flow causes most wear.....well, I'm adding that to my "feeling" that cold oils aren't getting to the engine fast enough and that will sustantially increase engine wear. Come on, you JUST got to see my point??? Even just a little????? When an engine is idling you...

put castrol type f atf in 5-speed calling for syncromesh fluid.

Amsoil S3000 5w30 HD diesel oil can be used in place of the syncomesh oil. the synco is a semi-syn, ford's, gm's and dodge's are all the same oil. I use the amsoil in my 99 dakota 5sp. Amsoil recommends the s3k for this application. ATF is a very thin oil and you will cause excessive wear by...
