    Any thoughts on LED TV-s?

I personally wouldn't want to buy until this (LED) had been out a little longer at the consumer level. The prices will likely drop. I have a big screen plasma in the living room and a smaller LCD for the bedroom, the plasma is hands down the best picture. Both have seen decent price drops in the...

    Flat Tappet Oil

VR-1 available as straight 30wt, 40wt and 10W-30 plus the 20W-50,maybe available in others I haven't really looked as I always used the 30wt or the 10W-30. I think the M1 5W-40 is a decent range for most of the older V8's, I'm switching over to this (besides ZDDP) because I run it in my diesel...

OK, which oil for my vintage metal family members

I have '67 mustang with mild cam. I've been running Valvoline VR-1 which has plenty of ZDDP, I'm gonna switch to M1 5W-40 Turbo Diesel which has plenty also it will also allow for longer intervals 1 year in my case. I don't drive it much, but I don't like leaving the VR-1 over 6 months or so...

    Flat Tappet Oil

Valvoline VR-1 is a good choice, I ran this for about a year in my '67 mustang, I will be switching over to M1 5W-40 turbo diesel when I get it back from the paint shop. Neither one of these need additional ZDDP, their both in the 1300 area. The VR-1 should probably be changed every 6 months or...

California May Ban Dark Car Colors

The heat will be generated regardless of a car color, unless they legislate that the sun can't shine on certain days. Point being the heat will be generated and absorbed regardless whether it be a building, roads, trees, etc. Is black (dark) colors going to be outlawed altogether? Total waste of...

    Two different Castrol Edges?

Hazardous is referring to NFPA ratings. All chemicals are required to be rated. Based on flammability, reactivity, and health. You could sit next to a gallon of open oil and nothing much will happen, whereas being around benzene (health concerns) or calcium carbonate (reacts with water)the same...

Compressed, stationary gaskets would be highly unlikely to be fixed by an additive.

My '95 Civic, Auto-Rx treatment and photo

In general, people use to confuse M1 T&SUV with M1 Turbo Diesel Truck, I personally think mori is right, the TSUV was never Delvac 1 rebadged, the turbo diesel highly likely could be.

    Limited time, need reasonable opinion...

I wouldn't waste money on Auto-Rx.I would go with the least expensive oil and maybe some MMO to help thin the thick stuff out and faciltate getting a better drain. The gray goupy stuff indicates water/oil mixture forming an emulsion. Additives don't fix stuff like that.

    Who makes O’REILLY MOTOR OIL?

Your link is wrong, that is to Mobil Clean High Mileage, it should be to Mobil 1 High Mileage, which is indeed SL rated, not SM. M1 10W-30 High Mileage Originally Posted By: Peter_Pan Originally Posted By: 1999nick Exactly why I now use Mobil 1 High Mileage 10W30 in my 2005 Pathfinder 4.0...

    Flat Tappet Engine Oil

I am using Valvoline VR1 in my 67 mustang (flat tappet), I may switch to Mobil 1 5W-40 Turbo Diesel once I get a few miles on it, it runs around 1200 - 1400 ppm

GM OLM should I follow it?

Depends on make/model whether it is calibrated for syn or dino, at least with GM products. Generally speaking, the upper end models and high performance spec out syn. Corvette, SS trucks, etc.

yes or no to the almighty z max

I should have added in my earlier post that one of the guys that used it said his OBC showed the mileage increase from 15.7 to 16.9 about 1 month into using it if I recall correctly. Alot of variables go into MPG, he claims his consistently showed 15.5 - 15.7 prior to ZMax. Again, I am not...
