    BMW TPT presentation

Yes - all naturally-aspirated and yet needing to use "TwinPower Turbo" oil. Also specified in early 150kW N47D20 engines in the 123d (which are turbodiesel).

    Brand Oil vs no brand

But you can't (or shouldn't) use food or drink as an example because these are entirely subjective - it's about personal preference, not about objective performance. One peanut butter may be personally preferred but not objectively 'better'. With oils you can (sometimes) determine actual...

    BMW TPT presentation

It always amused me that there wasn't a single turbocharged engine which specified the "TwinPower Turbo 10W-60" oil. [Actually the very early BMW 123d did require the 10W-60 oil due to balance shaft bearing issues, but this is a rare case and not mentioned in the slides].

C1 vs C3 lubricants, the OM646LA Engine Wear Test

No it isn't. You posted the ACEA 2016 sequence, which did use the OM646LA for diesel engine wear testing, but the current ACEA sequence is the 2021 edition which no longer uses the OM646LA.

can viscosity at 40c or density be correlated with an oils W rating?

Additives are also generally significantly denser than base oils. Remember also that kinematic viscosity is absolute viscosity/density.

Volvo RBS0-2AE 0W20 oil available for purchase USA

Where does this logic come from? Volvo is a totally separate entity from VW/Audi and have their own lubricant specifications and approvals, which are designed to qualify an oil for Volvo's needs - there's no reason why an oil that's good for VW/Audi would automatically be good for Volvo. The...

Do you have more vehicles then driver's in your home?

Two drivers and three vehicles - two cars and a bike. Bicycles on the other hand, 4 riders, 12 bikes. 9 are mine.

Is it important to keep liquid in the windshield washer reservoir?

To answer the question, if you emptied it and rinsed with fresh water there should be no issue. Until that one day that something does hit your windshield and you need to wash it off. In the UK it is a legal requirement to have washer fluid in the reservoir.

Could Castrol Edge Extended-Performance (EP) 0W-20 SP be the best 0W-20 out there?

Much like many of the new-generation oil specs, they aim for fuel economy (emissions) as well as durability. The wear test requirements of these new specs are often as tough as the older, higher viscosity oils. The reason you don't put a 0W-20 into an engine built for a 5W-30 is because it was...

Why haven’t we seen many diesel PHEVs?

JLR did a diesel-hybrid Range Rover for a while but it never really took off. Don't forget that as well as the complexity and cost of a diesel vs a gasoline engine, a diesel is heavier on a like-for-like basis.

    Clutchless shifting a manual

The best approach is to anticipate them and approach slowly, hoping they will change before you each them - maybe even slip it into neutral on the approach then select the best gear when they change. In a bind you can start the engine with the car in gear and it should bump to life.

Here is why I wouldn't buy a new "budget" bike.

For additional context, in the UK the roads are routinely treated with salt whenever there's a chance of freezing, so it is worth either protecting your bike with something like ACF 50 or diligently cleaning it after every ride (or at least hosing it down). Many cars also look like this...

It's WRX, not WRC. WRC is the World Rally Championship, which is different from the World Rallycross Championship.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 SUV stalling issues

I have to say I am a little bit reluctant to place all my confidence in an organisation that can't identify fundamental parts of this type of car. HV should be High Voltage (ie traction battery).

Yeah - the upper limit is also there but I ignored it for the sake of this case. But you caught it anyway.

    Total INEO deal 504.00 507.00

It might not be fake - it could be a genuine labelling error or a mistake in specification listing. Their PDS doesn't mention ACEA A3/B4, nor does the product's web page.
  19. W

    Total INEO deal 504.00 507.00

Which is, of course, impossible since A3/B4 needs >1% sulfated ash where C3 needs <0.8%.
