Help stopping small leak 5-30 ok?

2005 Honda Odyssey. Had VWB in it for years switched to PP and after a few months I have small drops of oil on the ground. Likely Pp cleaning well and removed some gunk over an old seal that acid ate up. So here we go. Any chance pennzoil high mileage will help and more importantly can moving to...

Car 'suddenly' consumes a lot of oil since last OC

I recently switched my 2005 Honda Odyssey from VWB to PPPP and I am having the same issue I am on my second OCI with PPPP consuming about 1qt every 1,500 miles. Van never used near that much in the past perhaps .5 qt every 6000 miles. With that said I thought it was perhaps just the PPPP...

To buy a town & country or not

I can get a certified T&C 2014 with 22K miles all day for $22k. That's what's attractive. Leather DVD power doors and hatch. I guess I just wanted to see if anyone had one for a period of time and liked it.

To buy a town & country or not

My family is growing with our third child on the way. My 2005 Honda Odyssey is given us lots of trouble and is time to be put to pasture. Some friends of mine say they're Chrysler town and country has been very good to them and the prices are very good on one year-old 2014 models. My question is...

looking for experiences with different oils

If your truely concerned with sludge potential use a solid syn like PP or M1 and change it every 6 months or 6k. It's probably overkill but it's about as good as it gets.

    12 month oils ?

If I were you I would change every year at the time of year most convenient for you and I would use a good synthetic and yes the Amsoil XL is a good synthetic. Is it better than M1 or PP likely not but no worse. Why go over a year unless you really hate changing the oil. I actually enjoy it so...

High Mileage vs Synthetic High Mileage

I considered the Walmart HM but the add pack seemed almost non existent on the PQI site so for not much more I went with Mobil. Not saying Walmar was bad just my observation.

so i take it none of you feel the film strength test done by RAT has anything to do with PVC strength?

GTL = higher PVC = a lot less wear says Chevron

ok I am going to ask the question. But first let me say I don't understand 10% of what you guys are saying but I do hear you saying film strength and it just so happens that I heard that same statement from the RAT guy who does his oil testing and shows what he says are the film strengths of...

Oil Usage vs mileage between oil changes

I don't think it's burning it up I would think it's eating it as in oil control but who knows. So what does Toyota say when you complain? Have you?

Oil Usage vs mileage between oil changes

So if you lived in the mountains you would consume 10 quarts of oil in over 10,000 miles about a quart every 1,000 miles ( a little less). If it continues to do that after the first 15,000 miles I would complain. I know others might not agree but that would make me really unhappy. Even at a...
