My birthday is the 4th. So is my sister, who's 4 years younger. It was always my sister's birthday growing up, though, ha. Neither of us were due on the 4th, FWIW. The nice thing about it is that I was never in school or had to work on my birthday.

Size wise, I just feel like there's more risk of the tail wagging the dog with the smaller 4Runner. Complete guess here, but I envision having to really wind out the 4.0 to keep up on the highway or when going over mountains/hills when towing a load, too.

Yeah, only 5 lug on the 2wd half tons. Another potential stumbling block is the gear ratio. ie, the axle out of the 2wd would need to match the front diff of the 4wd it's going into.
