Air filtration is absolutely the most important filter on your engine. I have personally driven air-cooled Volkswagens for hundreds of thousands of miles with no oil filter but they wouldn't even come close to that without proper air filtration. YMMV Joe

Every 10-40 oil I have tried gives noticeably slower cranking in winter than every 10-30 I have tried. Since joining BITOG I have now switched to 5-30 year 'round. YMMV Joe

Primarily the TOB will be wearing but there is a bit of induced drag on the pilot bushing/bearing due to the input shaft wanting to remain stationary while the flywheel is turning. I don't like to leave the clutch depressed for more than a few seconds.

It will work fine. A bit of super glue would help keep it in place if you are concerned about vibration loosening it. Joe

Is there a list of filter specs that give thread sizes and O-ring diameter as well as size, etc.? Am looking for an oil filter that has M24x2 threads for a tractor. I tried searching but came up empty. Thanks, Joe
