If the pond is at least 18-24 deep they will hibernate at the bottom as long as water doesn't freeze solid. They still need an air hole however so a small heater to leave a small open water area would be needed.

I also dyed the water blue. The water lily is really taking off as is the water lettuce and water hyianth. Should get some pond beneficial bacteria today to add to it so it will get better balance.

Well I wasn't going to do it but I bought 10 goldfish for my pond. I figured if they don't make it I am not out much and they shouldn't make too much of a mess. They do love the waterfall! Here is a video I took today of them.
