Using a larger oil filter? God or bad?

I have been using an oversized Fram TG 3600 on my Toyota van for the past few years. My reasoning is that the TG has higher filter efficiency than a stock filter therefore it makes sense to have more total media. The cost is identical for a stock size TG. Also, I occasionally leave the filter on...

Vehicle would you choose? Caravan or Santa Fe?

Do yourself a favour and buy a Toyota Sienna - night and day in terms of reliability compared to any chrysler product or Santa fe. The Toyota will come out way ahead even if you have to go a little older or higher mileage, as long as all required scheduled maintenance has been done.

Top 10 worst cars of all time List?

I owned a 1975 Vega that was by far the worst car I have ever owned. Early engine failure, rust and disk brakes that rattled over every bump even when completely rebuilt with all new parts. It was the last GM car I have owned. The Hyundai Stellar should be on the list. It offered lots of...

    Eagle One Nano Wax?

I have tried Eagle nano and I found it hard to remove and when i tested it against other waxes it did not last that long. If you want something long lasting and a bit easier to remove try Nufinish paste.

Most rotating patterns (per owners manual) involve reversing the rotation direction of two of the tires. This allows for completely different wear patterns.

    Prescription glasses online?

Please recommend a good website to buy prescription eyewear. I live in a small town in Canada and I went to the local eyewear shop and they are asking over $1,000 for good quality titanium frames and high index progressive Nikon lenses. I think it is time for me to try ordering a pair online...

    Royal Purple

Royal Purple is a tier 1 oil, in the same league as Amsoil and Redline. For those that value UOA results, a few years ago I did an analysis of UOA results: There is a thread in the UOA section where "nicrfe1370" posted a speadsheet with 120 Subaru UOA's. Of course this is many different...

Post your Alternative Leaf Blower Uses!

An electric leaf blower (shop vac) with an extension pipe is great for enhancing a fire. I used mine to help burn a pile of large stumps that were just smoldering without the blower. The air from the blower supercharges the fire and I just move it around to a different spot every few hours.
