    Oil filter disposal: what do you do?

    Most places I've found do not like to recycle oil filters for some reason. Our local Walmart TLEs do take them, however. I just bring a bunch of them when I go there to recycle my oil.

    If it was stored properly and not rusty, it should be fine. I've used 10+ year old oil filters before without issue. The AC Delco filter I just put on my Camaro is probably 5-7 years old, and the Denso on my Accord was purchased probably around 2015? I remember ordering some closeout filters...

    I'm using their conventional 5W-20 in my Accord right now. Good stuff, no complaints in the number of times I've used it along with its Havoline counterpart over the years.

    2004 Mazda 3 - 305k miles, 10k OCIs with nothing but Mobil 1 5w20

    1 quart every 1k or so, like clockwork, for years. These engines are known to consume some oil after 5-10 years. Original cat, yes.
