I would keep all the other hoses original if they look like they are in good condition. Or you can price out oem hoses. Sometimes they are cheaper than you expect.

I thought about a short as well. Not quite sure what you mean by tool changer. This is on a lathe with fixed tooling that the turret rotates to select the appropriate tool.

The other thing is there are two sensors on this turret that live together. Both sensors are the same sensor and share a power and ground. Only the output wire goes to a different place from each sensor as each sensor senses something different.

If it has a cvt I would shy away. If your pretty mechanical and think you could tackle a timing issue maybe. I think they have quite long timing chains.

Yes dont drive this unless you want to put in another engine. Oil pumps do wear out. I had 20-40 psi on my old sbc. Changed the oil pump for a stock replacement and now have 60-70 psi. No other changes.

Honestly there is probably nothing better for the earth than just living like some tribes do. Just walk everywhere and make do with natural things. I do like vehicles though and the convenience they offer has some merit to help offset the poor energy usage.

It has the regulator bolted to the back of the alternator with the brushes attached. It’s an al80x alternator

I have a 40 year old alternator i am rebuilding. It has a capacitor on the back that says 2.2uf. I tried measuring it with my harbor freight dvom and it just reads 0.000. I tried a different dvom and it reads 210nf which would be .21uf. I want to be sure im checking it properly.

I think the tough torq transmission issues are overblown. You hear all of the bad stories because not many mention the good stories. almost every brand sold through the big box stores have some form of k46 transmission.

Try out a bottle of seafoam transtune before you change the current fluid. It will help clean out stuck valve bodies and does not contain any seal swelling additives. You can see if things get better and then change out the fluid to new fluid.
