Fram Endurance / Walmart End of Life ?

How is soaking a filter for a couple hours/days going to replicate an OCI with oil temp? Best way to check would be to run the filter and see.

    Frustrating Dealer Experience

That means little imo, the HPL is going to do a much better job cleaning than supertech. I don't know what he had before but dark oil means it's doing its job. Unfortunately dealers suck, In my WRX for example, came factory with an "STI short shifter" and the dealer put "Aftermarket shifter"...

First transmission drain and refill at 83K?

Generically Id drop the pan clean the magnets and refill. If there are no magnets I'd start with a drain and fill. If there is a cooler line, id also install a Magnefine filter at the same time to help keep the fluid clean.

    Home HVAC filters

I use MERV 12 filters and measure the pressure drop to change my filters out. Also I hate when HVAC techs say "more restriction is going to put more load on the blower motor. " It's a squirrel cage (forward curve centrifugal fan). In reality your HVAC system may be designed to run at a...

    Transmission fluid change

Of the few Magnefine filters I've opened up its usually just ferrous material on the magnets with virtually nothing on the filters. So id say it would be beneficial to clean up the magnets if they are accessible.
