I wouldn't use the Mobil but would rather go with the fluid GM recommends for the C5 which has the additive in it. I bet that car really moves out with the 4.10 gear ratio.

If the correct ATF doesn't help I would install new plugs and coils. It's fairly inexpensive and easy.
