Congress removes CARB and other state's ability to set emissions standards

Good. Wonder if that means non-emissions diesel fleets will be allowed back in California.

    Slave Cyl Brands

I'm sure it's just a result of the manufacturer rebranding. I ordered a Carter fuel pump for my Jeep and got an Airtex pump with Carter stickers. Most expensive stickers I bought!

    2018 Forester 2.5L 70k miles: PM Suggestions?

I didn't have an issue with my 2018 but saw a lot of people breaking studs off. They must have used cheaper material?

    Kohler Command 23 fueling issues?

I think there has to be something wrong with the fuel pump. It's the right one for this engine family. Took the carburetor off and it looks fine. Nothing inside at all. Put it back together and it's still doing the same thing. I hate carburetors.

49k miles trans fluid exchange on a GM 10L80

Is this the one that's related to the Ford 10 speed?

    Cheapest 2 stroke oil?

I've been using the gallon jug of Supertech in all of my 2smokes. My Polaris xplorer 300 even calls for TCW-3 oil in the oil injection system. I actually bought injection oil ($$) and have that in the injector tank but run Supertech TCW-3 premixed in the tank as well.

    Kohler Command 23 fueling issues?

Fuel cap doesn't seal at all 😁 I do think some junk got into it from when I changed the pump out. I'll remove the shroud and try it. I won't feel bad about switching to a China carb if I can't get it figured out - it's already got one of those. They are only $30 on amazon and I'll have it in...

    Kohler Command 23 fueling issues?

I have a Cub Cadet z turn with a Command23 engine. This year when I pulled it out to mow it didn't want to start. Gave it a toot of starting fluid and it started and ran okay. But seemed to pop and after fire once it got warm. Definitely down on power. Noticed that the fuel filter was...

Removing Heavy Calcium Rings From Toilet Bowls

We have VERY hard water here. Even with cleaning the toilet a few times a week, I have to CLR it once a month or so.

    Bell housing or full transmission?

I'd swap the transmission and the transfer case if it's aluminum. The vibrations that shattered the bellhousing made their way there via the transfer case. I don't know about Toyota chain drive cases but the Borg Warner and New Process cases in the American trucks tend to explode once they get...

EPA possibly goes after the Start/Stop System!

I had a loaner subaru and it reported estimated amount of fuel saved with auto stall. And it was miniscule. Like less than a gallon. Starters aren't the worst to replace - though I hope I never have to do my Grand Marquis starter again - but I'm more concerned with replacing the ring gear on...

    2010 Nissan Cube CVT maintenance

I have only used Idemitsu NS-3 which smells like power steering fluid and the Valvoline fluid in ours. It has a "cooler" in that it has some coolant lines piped to a heat exchanger on the transmission. There's no external transmission lines unfortunately. If there were, I would have piped in a...

    2010 Nissan Cube CVT maintenance

When I did the second drain and fill on ours at 15K miles, I was 2 quarts short and grabbed a quart of Valvoline fluid. I try to stick with the recommended fluid but realistically I just don't see how fluid types would be too big of a difference on a CVT as long as you're using CVT fluid. The...

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

It's definitely not going to help the head leaking. The truck sat for a year, I suspect that's why it was going through a quart every 200 miles recently. When it got bad to the point of a quart every 75ish miles, I was genuinely worried about the truck catching fire. There was a LOT of oil...

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

I did that when my truck got to the point it was losing a quart every 75ish miles out of the head gasket. Just change the filter once a year. Every 450 miles I was doing an oil change!

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

May be a fluke , but just added my a quart after 1300 miles since the last quart. Call me impressed. I've never used that little oil since putting this engine in! Usually it was between 500 and 800 per quart. I added oil in march, hopped on the highway and drove 250 miles home at 70. Its got...

    Gasoline fixed my paint?

I've used gas to get tar off. It's also my go-to paint thinner when painting trailers. It's cheaper than mineral spirits and works great with the tractor and implement paint!

Carvana reports record earnings, tips wall Street estimates

I sold a car to them and would do it again. I wouldn't buy from them. Seems that titling the vehicle ... which means registering it ... is nearly impossible for a month or so after purchase.
