    18 Lexus GS350, 44K on ODO, PUP 5W20, 8,400 OCI

Here we go again with another boring post... This fill is mostly PUP 5W20... 5 qts PUP 5W20 and 1.25 qts of PP 0W20. Replaced with PP 5W20. UOA looks good, nothing truly standing out. At this rate I will likely have this car with me for another 10 years.

    17 Civic 1.5T, 74K on ODO, Pennz Euro L 5W20, 6,786 ODI

Still had the bottle in the garage... SMH... I think I'm losing my ability to read. It is 5W30. But I also have 5W20 PP and PUP. All the yellow bottles must have me confused.

    17 Civic 1.5T, 74K on ODO, Pennz Euro L 5W20, 6,786 ODI

Yes... 5W20. This car calls for 0W20 but with the fuel dilution issues reported by some owners, the year-round hot climate of South Florida, as well as this old head thinking "thicker is better" , I went down the 5W30 road. Based on feedback from some members here, I decided to try the Euro L...

    17 Civic 1.5T, 74K on ODO, Pennz Euro L 5W20, 6,786 ODI

Approaching High Mileage Oil usage territory. Always liked the Valvoline HM synth blends, maybe I'll give the HM oils a look-see the next time around. Nothing is jumping out at me, looks like the 5W20 Euro L is a good match for this little 1.5 4-cyl turbo. Consumed maybe 1/4 qt or less over the...

    17 Civic 1.5T, 67K on odo, PP 5W30, 8,955 OCI

Not really sure what that meant... but with an hour or two researching lspi, etc., I'm sure I'll understand. I used the Euro L based upon recommendations from members here. I actually just changed the oil last night and replaced with Euro L 5W20 again. This would be a 6.7K mile ODI and I'll send...

Valvoline High Mileage Full Syn. 5W 30 in a 2000 Tacoma (3rz-fe) 5177 mi oci

Relatively low mileage given the name plate... absolutely! I had a '02 Sequioa, different engine of course, but I religiously used the Valvoline MaxLife HM from about 265K to 340K with 5-8K OCIs. I found that oil performed like a good oil should and at an affordable price point. I'd be...

    2022 Toyota GR86, PP 5W-30, 4,291 OCI

Just the 2nd change on this engine. Son is in college and does about 700 miles a month, it would be lower but he comes home every 6 weeks or so, a 350 mile round trip. The engine is still new and there's the infamous overuse of silicon sealant with Subaru, which can contribute to the high Si...

    17 Civic 1.5T, 67K on odo, PP 5W30, 8,955 OCI

My goal is a 7,500 ODI, but it's my daughter's car and I keep missing the interval... so we'll see where the interval lands in a few months. And I used Euro L for the first time.

    17 Civic 1.5T, 67K on odo, PP 5W30, 8,955 OCI

Unfortunately I did not check the dipstick, only noticed the consumption when I poured the old oil into an old gallon jug and measured just under 3.25 qts. Knock on wood... 🤞

You are correct, 5W30 Euro L. It was next to a bottle of 5W20 PUP so my eyes may have been crossed for a minute.🤪

Nice timing with your response, only because I just posted the next UOA for this engine. 17 Civic 1.5T, 67K on odo, PP 5W30, 8,955 OCI

And the saga continues... a pretty boring story though... Yet again, I meant to change at 6K but forgot and ended up changing 3K later. Luckily it does not look like it hurt anything. Iron is just a tad higher than I might have expected. What's different this time does not show in the results...

    2016 GS350 2,838 miles Pennzoil Ultra Pure Plus 5W30

Such a short OCI, even if over 6 months, does not really tell me anything. Why not stretch it out to a year?

Best 0w20 to resist fuel dilution in Honda 1.5 TGDI engine? And use in Honda J35 V6s?

My daughter's Civic with the 1.5T likes PP 5W30... UOAs look petty decent so far through to 58K miles.

    Pennzoil Euro L 5W30 ?

What's the difference between these two bottles? $22.93 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pennzoil-Platinum-Euro-L-5W-30-Full-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-5-qt/179202222 $26.44 https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/495194903 They are both Euro L, so why the difference in price? Is one an older batch?

    17 Civic 1.5T, 58K on odo, PP 5W30, 7,382 OCI

I agree, this UOA inspires confidence... with 58K on the odometer and almost 8K OCI, this combo seems to work well. Almost no short trips Relatively long daily commutes Hot FL temperatures ... and I don't think she's an aggressive (racing) driver I'm going to stick with PP 5W30 and a 7.5K OCI.

I saw that too and I can't figure it out. Pretty sure I never picked up anything other than PP5W30. Will try to perform the next change at 6K (which I always say but always miss) and see what the oil looks like then.

    18 Lexus GS350, 36K on odo, PP 0W20, 7,387 OCI

Jeff... Aren't you over at CL as well? Any UOAs to share? For my 2002 Sequioa, I swore by Valvoline Max Life High Mileage Synthetic Blend. Sold that truck with 340K and it never burned a drop of oil. OCIs were between 8-11K religiously. But with that stable of cars in your signature, I'm...

    18 Lexus GS350, 36K on odo, PP 0W20, 7,387 OCI

Recommended OCI is 10K but since I was changing the oil on my daughter's Civic, I figured WTH, I'll swap out the oil in the Lex as well. It appears I could have easily left it in for another 2-3K miles. Replaced with another fill of PP 0W20 but bought a few bottles of PUP 5W20 for all changes...
