Oil Fill Levels...Who Would You Believe?

No, they both take 5 by the book L and standard, .....the OLDER style(WK body) takes 6. See attached pic, they , both L and standard are lumped together. I would assume oil pan if diff. between WK and WL.

Oil Fill Levels...Who Would You Believe?

The L isn't important if you are talking about the newest style Jeep(WL body). Correct way to check is hot, after a few min. If you do it cold the next day, It will probably show high, as most 3.6 will drain down as filter is up top. I just got done arguing with customer last week, that was...

    Finally got a ZTR...

After mulling it over for 2 years finally picked up a Cub ZTS2 54in . This to replace my Simplicity 2011 46in rider. Should be a nice upgrade! Has the 24hp Kohler on it, and ZT 2800 diffs

New Toyota Corolla hybrid oil change intervals

New Toyota Corolla hybrid oil change intervals

We have a 21 Prius, so pretty much the same. I do every 10k klms(6k miles), M1 EP 0/20 , OEM filter, and honestly oil still looks pretty good, when I change it. I like the 0/20 , Engine is noticeably quieter, and no mileage hit. Good luck with car, ours has been 100% perfect, and it gets run...

    Goodbye RAM EcoDiesel

The main failure is , excess soot in oil from EGR. Push oil changes to the max spec limit, and the soot starts to plug/block oil passages.....Boom. Cut oil changes to half rec and it will probably live. When they started blowing up, we pushed hard to our customers to stick to 10k Klms max. 99%...

    Goodbye RAM EcoDiesel

Sure its part of the aftertrearment system. But again....we change tons of these and rotted out flex joints.....issues that are rare on a Cummins. I don't remember last time I swapped a scr on a Cummins. The whole platform is junk. Thankfully the newest eco seems much better .

    Goodbye RAM EcoDiesel

Alot of owners DO have issues and this isn't internet forum hype. I'm a Tech at a dealer. I fix em. I see it every day. We have swapped out more of these, than all other engines COMBINED. I'm glad you had good luck , but many many others didn't. I'll almost miss them in a way. They made me(and...

    Goodbye RAM EcoDiesel

They are not good.....at all. I have been at my dealer for 13yrs. We have changed 1 6.7, and that was for an oil leak/porous block. We have probably replaced 30+ EcoBooms. That said, the newer ones have been fine, no replacements.......but we sold very few really.

    New M1 Formulation and Noise

I used M1 20 years ago and it was for SURE noisier than a couple of other brands. As a Tech, i'm in tune with noises. That said I kept with it, as it was a very good oil. I run M1 now, and notice no noise difference.

How to Use a Road Force Balancer

Are you ok paying twice as much? Because if you have to move all 4 tires around looking for lowest # it takes about twice as long, esp with newer low profile stuff. We offer it at work as an upcharge , and 99%+ are not interested.

    Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV

I have a set on the Prius , they work well .I tried lots of snows over the years,. I found the Bridgestones worked well also....But I'm sticking to the Michelins now , for 2 reasons. One, the feel of the Mich. are almost the same as summer tires. Brid. are very mushy, and I hate that as an...

Local Dodge dealer's lot looks like a broken down Amazon truck storage lot.

We service and sell a bunch. Any that are taken care of dont have many issues. Any of the delivery one seem to get the **** run out of them and have more issues. Our parts van just rolled 180k and only issue has just been a rad this week. Still original trans , axles, and motor has not been opened.

Well tried it a few times, and works pretty good. The pole inside sounded a little dry, so popped the top off and lubed it up good.

Destroyed Aluminum Threads (and how did I?)

Those threads dont look that bad to me....I'd chase the threads and bolt in a new one. I'd also be very suspect of the torque wrench .....you sure its accurate??
