    Blocked Tank Breather

Looking to see if anyone has any tips for solving this issue without dropping the tank. A few weeks ago I was topping up with diesel and I always add some kind of additive with every tank. This time it was Stabil Diesel which I've been using for a few months. Unfortunately this time the seal...

If you're attacked by a polar bear, definitely do not play dead

My comment was somewhat sarcastic. I have no intention of ever being anywhere near a bear. The further away they are from me the better :ROFLMAO:

If you're attacked by a polar bear, definitely do not play dead

My Son and I got chased by a bull a few weeks ago and I shouted, screamed and waved my arms at it and it left. Basically the same thing.

    Volvo G64 vs Unknown OAT

That would be easy had it not been 3 years and 2 owners ago and the garage was on the other side of the country :ROFLMAO:

Gasoline Particulate Filters now coming on vehicles in the US

In my experience DPF's have been very reliable. I've always suspected when people have had issues that they are a symptom of a bigger problem. Often you hear of people replacing their DPF 2-3x before getting it removed as "they are so troublesome" and then when it is removed you find the engine...

United's newest livery "The Future is SAF"

I'd love to see combustion engines kept alive by use of greener fuels. I regularly fill up our cars with HVO made from recycled vegetable oil specifically. Our local reseller claims a 90% reduction in C02. Unfortunately it's a 10 mile drive away from me so not always able to use it.

This Former Jaguar Owner is Embarrassed

So the new car is called the 'Typo' after a new logo with a random capital letter in the middle? I can't help but think they're either total idiots or this is one of the best trolls ever.

Bought a Sludge lemon. Is it fixable? BG flush?

Does Valvoline R&P come in a high HTHS formula in the US? That might be a good shout here for a slow long term clean up.

This Former Jaguar Owner is Embarrassed

I never understood why JLR is treated as two separate companies, or has been in the past despite the huge crossovers between them. For years I've been saying that they should officially 'merge' and sell JLR badged cars rather than Jaguar or Land Rover. I.e. sell a JLR Range Rover, or a JLR XE...

Are EVs the death of the performance ICE market?

I think what EV's are making me realise is that I'm not a 'car guy', but an internal combustion guy and cars are just the every-day way I get to engage with them. I can't get my head around to liking EV's no matter how capable they're getting.

They had a really nasty bill during their annual inspection. I'd be warning them about a few issues for some time but was ignored. Then when it failed it's 'MOT' as we call it, I had zero time to do the work so they ended up forking out quite a large sum of money to put the car right. I also...

Well 3 years later and 17,000miles and my Sister and her partner decided it needed a service again. :ROFLMAO: Opened the bonnet to this… Being it’s a stretch belt I decided it would be wise to give that job a wide berth and tell them to take it to a garage. 😬 Engine actually looked very...

    75W85 GL4 vs 75W85 GL4/GL5 vs 75w90 GL4

Considering Fuchs is a German company, I'm very shocked it's rare in Germany or France! It's not on the shelves in shops here, but can easily be found online. Glad Redline is working well for you! I can't justify paying £30/litre verses >£10/litre for other oils with the same specifications.

How can I heat my tool boxes affordably?

I'm a huge fan of the cheap Chinese diesel heaters. Check out my Duster thread as I have one permanently fitted to my car for morning preheating. If fitted will they provide safe and reliable heat very efficiently. On it's lowest setting it uses just 2oz (US) per hour of diesel! I've seen...
