I changed the oil at 167 miles, around 1700 and again just now at around 3800. Will be dropping some of the highest end HPL in soon. Not due to mileage but the fact it will be -40 sometimes soon.
I installed a Kat's 150W heater on the oil pan and at home the car is in an unattached/uninsulated...
Is there any additive other than PEA that actually works? If so what are they and who makes them?
Is Shell Nitro V Power+ something other than PEA or is it just their name for PEA?
Looking for a list of additives(and if they work, how they work and who makes them)
They did but I had the PP. Car has been hesitating and I'm running Techron/regane through it. I'll probably put 1000 miles on it in the 2 weeks I'm here on vacation.
I'll change the oil with pure Valvoline Restore and Protect before I go back to work.
I'll be changing it so soon as I've seen...
They don't have quarts of it in stock. I just used Pennzoil Platinum for the 0.7qt or so.
I ordered 3x5qts so going forward I have enough for 2 more changes before I need to get another 5qts.
I just wanted to be sure that GTL oils didn't have some bad reaction with other synthetics. I was...
Yea, bloody phone wouldn't let me "swipe to go back" and apparently ended up posting the other thread.
Then I could see options to edit it but not delete it.

First, no. I've changed oil quite a bit in the 90s on '89-'92 vehicles and a '78 Jeep.
Haven't done it since but would like to start doing it again as I have the time and space when I'm home.
Yea, I'd seen 7mm mentioned and that is what it is.
I was hoping someone who had actually done the process could say "only 7mm" or "7mm but one Xmm at Y point" or whatever the exact case is.
What size sockets will I need to get the skid plate and anything else out of the way to do an oil change on my 2020 Ford Edge SEL? Any extensions or joints ?
All of the stores near here only have 5 quart containers of Valvoline Restore and Protect
My 2020 Edge calls for 5.7 quarts "full" with filter. Obviously it's gonna be an it less as some oil clings inside.
I'm not wanting to buy 5 quarts and have it sit and age ~ 6 months of I can avoid it...
I have a 2020 Ford Edge SEL. It is saying it needs 5.7qts.
The local dealers have 5 quart containers only. I have been running Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 since I bought it in early '23.
Rather than buy a whole 5 quarts for 0.7 could I use a single quart of the PP? The oil is gonna be mixing with...
I added one when I fueled it with non-ethanol first fill. Changed oil at 200 miles, Pennzoil Platinum 0W16. Added techron again on the fill before the change I got at 1700 miles. Again, Pennzoil Platinum 0W16. I'm at 2500 miles now and doing short to and from work runs. I get off work ne7kxt...
I'm in Williston, Toyota dealer is a ways off, I'm calling them too.
Actually fly down to NC to pick up the car today. Hopefully the storm there doesn't delay me too long
I was looking for maybe someone who had done something similar, declared it, and was told "don't bother" or got hit with whatever % import duty.
I value my ease of entry and exit enough I'll declare it, they'll probably say "good idea to get one installed" then wave me through. Especially...
No, they don't do that coming in or out of Mexico either but it's the US government.
I don't trust they're using all that imaging tech just for license plates and faces.
They're probably running AI on each car to look for differences. Different hue of paint indicating maybe a panel was removed...
