techron, PEA, and the "fish" smell...

pardon my ignorance... went through a couple of threads and i thought i would ask... i have a bottle of Techron Concentrate Plus and a bottle of 3M 8812 Injector Cleaner and they smell completely different. from what i understand/read, PEA smells fishy (and the 3m product smells like it)...

what automatic transmission fluid can i use for this? a decent quality fluid i can pick up at an auto-parts store? i had the filter/pan serviced already. just purchased the vehicle and a mechanical flush was not recommended... planning to do 3-4 drain and fills... will that work better than a...

need coolant/anti-freeze vs. air cooled education

well... in terms of a transmission cooler, which would be more effective? coolant from engine/radiator or atmosphere air? basically, i have a irreparable leak at the transmission cooler fitting and leaking ATF fluid. i will need a NEW radiator to solve this problem. NOTE: this is not coolant...

    automatic transmission coolers

Basically, I have a leak coming fro the transmission cooler. Weather it is the fittings or the hose, I have no idea. But I ran a couple of figures and it will cost me more to fix it than purchasing an AFTERMARKET transmission cooler. $30.00 However, I am not familiar with how exactly the...

    AutoRX vs Lubegard TRANSMISSION flush

94 honda civic sedan (DX) miles = 160,000 jolts at all shifting points... up-shift or down-shift. from what i understand, a "mechanical" flush will destroy it. i do not want to pull a cooler line because I have no tools at my current location. no jack/jackstands ...can even get under and drain.

    AutoRX vs Lubegard TRANSMISSION flush

Should i use both? either/or? Is there a difference? OR is there another alternative product? I need to rid my transmission of all the [censored] inside of it. it has been neglected to [censored].

Honda ATF Fluid Recommendations and Additive

well, i recently purchased a 94 Honda CIVIC sedan/DX... I threw in a JDM D15B BUT it is on the same AUTOMATIC transmission since 94 with 160K miles... the shifts are jerky. I doubt the person used genuine Honda ATF... It has Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle for drain/fill (FLUSH) purposes... I...

    properties of Power Steering Fluid

Anybody know if Power Steering Fluid has any corrosive properties? Got a bunch on my paint yesterday… engine bay and outside. It is a Honda and the PS Fluid is genuine Honda Fluid… if that matters any. Thanks, I appreciate it.

coolant, water wetter flush amount compatibility

What is the timeframe in which some sort of chemical reaction should occur between: coolant/antifreeze (type 2), distilled/bottled water, and RED LINE water wetter? I have them mixed in a bottle to verify some threads I have read regarding compatibility. I plan to run: 1 liter of (type) 2, 6...

magnetic plugs and filter magnets BLACKSTONE TEST

All, I am planning to do an oil analysis BUT I have (1) question. I have an engine oil filter magnet by FILTERMAG and also a magnetic drain plug. Will my test results be more accurate without these? Obviously, some particles will be stuck in my filter and drain plug. Thanks~!
