what automatic transmission fluid can i use for this? a decent quality fluid i can pick up at an auto-parts store? i had the filter/pan serviced already.

just purchased the vehicle and a mechanical flush was not recommended... planning to do 3-4 drain and fills... will that work better than a chemical flush? from what i understand, automatic transmission fluid has a bunch of detergents and will do what a chemical flush will do... just slowly?

thanks for reading.

Spec is for dex III. Valvoline Maxlife works great in these. Its a good fluid.

Edit: Do a line off fluid exchange on this one, its very easy.
Don't mess with chemicals to flush or clean.

is this it? i went on advance auto parts and it does not list this as a compatible fluid. however, autozone does.

That's the one!

MaxLife is a series of fluids from Valvoline. The specific fluid is MaxLife Dex/Merc ATF.
