    Project Farm tests car batteries

Very interesting. Thank you for posting. I have used both Walmart and Costco's battery in my cars and they never failed me so far even in -30c; but this is not because I had any amazing insights or data, but because I am cheap :-)

Let's talk about the Canada oil sands

Four of my good friends worked and three are currently working in the prairies in the oil business, mostly as engineers or scientists. I am from the East so I have admittedly no direct expertise nor experience to confirm, but they tell me there are so many ups and down and it's a very hard...

    Fumoto Valve?

I have 4: 04 CRV, 07 Odyssey, 10 Infiniti and am installing another one on the 17 Pilot. Makes oil change very clean and easy. Never ever had any issues with any of them. BUT they are all positioned “horizontally” (I.e. they don’t stick “down”). So no issues or fear of being damaged. But I will...

Do you speak any languages other than English?

English and French, both perfectly.... it’s pretty cool to see all the English words that come from French. And the French from Latin, which I studied for 5 years but remember very little, albeit it allows me to read and understand a little Italian and Spanish...and some Portuguese.

    Post your dog

Here is Teeko, a husky - shar-pei mix. What he lacks in intelligence he makes up in personality. Great with kids and yet protective. I got him as a companion for long winter walks and cross country skiing. He also joins me on bike rides in the summer.

EZ Oil Drain Valve vs Fumoto valve

I use fumoto valves in 3 of my cars and while I can't speak about the EZ oil drain, I am pleased by the reliability of the fumoto valve ...

Metal flakes in oil....normal or doomed? (Pics)

You are certain it is metal? It looks like it but I would try to confirm with a magnet. I would then run it 3000 miles and if still there and worse, I might consider trade in.....

Leave the CountryNOW (country as in rural areas)

Good luck. I would do so even if no smoke or indication of fire. Your priorities are your family and yourself and those around you. Keep us posted.
