89 crx hf rough warm idle

My 89 honda crx High Fuel runs excellent except for one issue. When its warm sometimes it will idle rough, that rough idle lots of old hondas seem to have. I have been around this issue for over a year and still have not fixed it so I figured I would see if any of you guys have ever had the same...

Camry 94 4 cyl front motor mount

I would heat it, if it damages the nut then it wasnt coming off anyway, then its time to let the shop mess with it. Last chance may be cutting and grinding it off if that happens, try to cut the bolt on one side from top to bottom so that you can split it wide open.

    Oils that lessen consumption

I had a 93 which used no oil, my brother has a 96 which eats oil like yours. The problem is that some of the motors had bad oil control rings, and both you and my bro got one of em, so changing the head wont help cause its the short block. You can run som 10w30 and it will help a little but it...

Camry 94 4 cyl front motor mount

I assume you are changing the mount because its already broken or at least loose, the rubbers worn, so its probably shifting the engine a little while you drive. If it were mine I would continue to drive it but be very careful to not step on the gas too much, be easy on it, since it still has...

Camry 94 4 cyl front motor mount

I would go with the 3/4 if I were you, you can get an hf adapter for it for $3.99 (pack of 3 sizes)last I checked, dont need a black "impact" on it so much as they are so cheap it may score a little but will not break, I have used mine all the time. Sometimes I find harmonic balancer bolts that...

    Torco oils

Torco is good stuff, been around for a while, I bought 15 cans of their two stroke oil about ten years ago when it was on closeout at the honda stealership, never had a problem with it.

Sure Drain stripped threads -- what should I do?

When I put my suredrain in it leaked, I had to get a rubber gasket for it, it was a steady drip. May just be the gasket.

Replacement radiator - which kind ....

Not true about plastic radiators, depends on where it fails, I have one in my 2nd gen rx7 which took a rock and started to leak in the fins, radiator shop welded it right up same as anything else. Sure metal is better I would say but then again how long did the stock one last? I just had to put...

oil is oil is oil...all the same

Those sludge deposits are from running the oil WAY past the oci. Jiffy lube isnt the problem so much as its the reason, anyone who goes to a quick lube is not going to be as concerned with getting it changed on time, and thats what you end up with in the extreme. They should have run boutique...

    the debate: 5000 dino oci

Run it for 5k and don't worry about it. I do it in my cars. You can change it earlier but all you are really doing is making yourself feel better because the oil is still working. I know alot of people who do courier work and they run 7-10k on dino and put 200+ miles a day on em, nothing siezed...

Bad blow by in my dodge 318 V8 any suggestions

Thanks for all the suggestions, I checked the canister and sure enough it was bad, so I tossed it and got a new one on there, no more oil in the filter housing. Thanks for the old school MOPAR knowledge Bob and Joe, now theres another 318 on the road. PS, Papa Bear "This things got a wedge" and...

So... is there any bad oils??

I used to run the chevron 10w/30 with no problems, I think if they priced an oil, say wolfs head, higher people would buy more of it and have confidence in it. A friend of mine had his cam in a volvo p1800 quit on valvolone, he trusts wolfs head more than valvoline, ran wolfs head when it was at...
