    EcoGuard X4651 New C&P

I didn't even thing that I could move the two bearings to those holes, I'm sure they would fit then. I wonder how many used PG4612EX filters I still have...

    EcoGuard X4651 New C&P

Haha hell no, this is a cheap one off of amazon and has worked well enough. Sadly it does not go small enough for the PG4612EX filters.

    Pronto/PG PG4651 New C&P

Agreed, it's wild how lots of the more expensive filter manufacturers have small louvers instead of holes like this.

    EcoGuard X4651 New C&P

I bought this filter because it was on wholesale closeout at RockAuto, and I already was buying closeout parts. For $1.22 from Famous Brand I can't complain, and I don't see why this filter wouldn't work for a normal 5k OCI. This filter does look the worst out of the other two closeout filters I...

    Carquest R85372MP New C&P

I bought this filter because it was on wholesale closeout at RockAuto, and I already was buying closeout parts. For $1.28 from Famous Brand I can't complain, and I don't see why this filter wouldn't work for a normal 5k OCI. I kind of regret cutting it open because I figured it'd look like...

I bought this filter because it was on wholesale closeout at RockAuto, and I already was buying closeout parts. For $1.24 from Famous Brand I can't complain, and I don't see why this filter wouldn't work for a normal 5k OCI. I kind of regret cutting it open because I figured it'd look like...

    Pronto/PG PG4651 New C&P

I bought this filter off RockAuto for $2.19 and have been running the extended version for around a year now and have cut multiple open and they always look great, they go for $5.44. I bought this filter just to see the quality of it before I run one, and wow I was surprised. I was expecting to...

    Pronto/PG PO1A New C&P

This is a new Pronto/Premium Guard filter ordered from RockAuto under VariousMFR. I ordered two of these at $2.94 each, better then an FL1A at $5.55 on RA. I wanted to cut one of these open before I ran it on my Bronco, considering the price point I was expecting a rough looking filter, but this...

    Valvoline VR1 10w30 Conventional 1.5k mi; 1987 Bronco 2.7k mi - used oil analysis

I've heard they charge around $250, not sure what all that includes. I got a tune for my Mustang from Marty Ochs for $200. I only got it because I needed to change the PCM gear ratio to 3.73. The canned tune that comes with the SCT tuners is garbage and I got bad detonation under moderate to...

    Valvoline VR1 10w30 Conventional 1.5k mi; 1987 Bronco 2.7k mi - used oil analysis

I've heard VE is the proper way to tune but I don't quite understand how to tune it. I've thought about having one of the remote Holley tuners just write me a base tune that way I can just know what a good table looks like.

    Valvoline VR1 10w30 Conventional 1.5k mi; 1987 Bronco 2.7k mi - used oil analysis

Like @doverlabs said I am running a Holley Sniper, if I could take a stock timing and fuel map from the OEM ECU then I would as it would make things a lot simpler.

1987 Ford Bronco - used Motorcraft FL-1A cut open

I imagine the roundness was something I should've checked especially with using a cheaper piston? You'd hope the machinist checked but who knows.

    Valvoline VR1 10w30 Conventional 1.5k mi; 1987 Bronco 2.7k mi - used oil analysis

The debris circled is just paint from cutting the filter open and it got on the filter media. Not sure about the 2nd and 3rd picture and the 4th looks like bubbles in the oil. Not sure, probably bad tune? What causes carbon deposits on pistons? I used Lucas SAE30 break in oil for cam break in...

I mean it was completely machined so the fact it was Jasper shouldn't affect it. But it is at .060" on the cylinder walls and it's iffy if you can go to .080". So I will be looking for another block.
