Ok. I don't know where my "thread" went so I'll just leave this here. My john deere 314 burned oil like me and whiskey. Smoked like the devil when it started and oil didn't last long. I had to top it off almost every time I used it. I introduced valvoline premium blue 10w30 and she's been...
Fueled up my gas cans with what I thought was 93 non ethanol turned out to be 10%. I have a 1 gallon can mixed 40-1 amzoil saber now. I'm wondering if I should just run it or dump it with the others in my truck? What do yall think? It should be so diluted it wouldn't really matter right?
I've read about these Kohler engines, they wear the cylinders into more of an "oval shape" and eventually with the oblonged walls of the cylinder, the piston rings eventually stop sealing. I reckon a guy could have a machine shop bore out the cylinder and I can slap new pistons and stuff in it...
I've always ran 10w30 in it. Whatever was left over from changing our car/trucks oil I used. The last change was mostly john deere oil, I think I topped it off a couple times with Mobil 1 and valvolone but it came out real thin which was probobly not good. I didn't think about smelling it to see...
Old john deere 314/Kohler engine. Running valvoline premium blue 10w 30 this cycle, I was wondering if I should go to a 15w 40 possibly 50? She smokes bad when starting up. I know these engines are prone to get oblonged and not seal good. I just figured I'd clean the rings or what's left of them...
Found the mother load of 10w 30 premium blue on sale. $11 gal
I splurged on a case and a half. Before i even changed oil in my truck I put it in my tiller. Running great. Put it in my plow tractor "1980s Bolens garden tractor" needs a new battery but jumped it and is running great. I did see...
Other than what I have for an upcoming oil change. what's the point? will you be hard pressed to spend an extra couple of pennies for an oil bottle that has a newer date? these people on here are cheap skates. it doesn't matter what you buy, just change your oil. and that's the bottom line...
Burned up an Echo last time I blew my tractor off. White smoke, exhaust was glowing even at idol. Ran great before I put it to rest even with it red hot. Can barely pull the cord now. She's stuck. I knew the 80:1 ratio was bull ****. This confirms it. Also confirms Amsoil are liars. I'll be...
Well isn't this a daisy. I had to log in to reply to you good folks. After many year of using irish spring body wash, and dial, I've found Old Spice Swagger body wash to be more superior. Not only does the toxic masculine smell make other non dominant feminine smelling men convulse in fear, it...
